About UPS & Our Culture
When the rest of the world goes quiet, the UPS night sort shifts into its highest gear. The late-night window is the most financially rewarding shift in our entire part-time warehouse jobs portfolio, offering a significant overnight differential on top of the Teamsters base wage for associates who work the hours most people sleep through. At UPS, our UPS part-time jobs on the night sort are built for night owls, second-shift workers transitioning out of other industries, and anyone who values a free daytime schedule above all else. If you are searching for part-time warehouse jobs near me with the highest possible hourly take-home, the night sort is your answer.
What Our Team Says (Employee Reviews)
"I work the night sort from 11 PM to 3:30 AM and my days are completely free — I run my own small business during daylight hours. The overnight differential at UPS makes my hourly rate one of the highest of any part-time warehouse job in this city, and the Teamsters medical insurance replaced my costly self-employed health plan. I have been running this schedule for two years and it is honestly the perfect financial setup." - Current Part-Time Night Sort Associate, Miami, FL.
Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a UPS Part-Time Night Sort Associate, you process the facility's peak overnight commercial volume during the late-night sort window inside our package center, working at sustained high intensity to ensure every linehaul trailer departs on its hard schedule before dawn.
- Overnight Volume Sorting: Sort the high-density commercial package volume from the day's business pickups, reading destination routing codes and diverting parcels accurately to outbound trailer lanes at belt speed throughout the overnight window.
- Linehaul Trailer Loading: Load completed outbound pallets and loose packages onto 53-foot linehaul trailers under strict departure time constraints, maximizing trailer cube while maintaining load integrity for long-distance transport.
- Departure Deadline Discipline: Maintain precise awareness of each trailer's hard pull time, sequencing loading activities to ensure every outbound trailer is sealed and released to the yard before its scheduled departure without exception.
Benefits & Perks
UPS Part-Time Night Sort Associates earn the highest total hourly rate in the part-time portfolio through the combination of Teamsters union base wages plus the overnight shift differential. Full Teamsters medical, dental, and vision benefits, pension contributions, UPS Earn & Learn tuition assistance, and paid personal time are all included — making this the most financially powerful of all part-time warehouse jobs at UPS.
